Zuma Radio 88.5FM, an abuja registered network station based in suleja is set to host the Zuma Agricultural Harvest Festival #ZumaAgricFest 2018; a fun, opportunity filled, and impactful agricultural centric annual event for rural farmers to connect, interact, share knowledge, learn new skills and sell their products.
The ZumaAgricFest started in 2017 having rural farmers from Niger, FCT, Kaduna, Nassarawa and Kogi states in attendance. The farmers listened to lectures from the speakers on topics covering agricultural business financing, use of technology for communication across regions, primary health and safety of farm workers, Agricultural Drone administration, storage and business administration.
The Festival was also attended by dignitaries such as the representative of the Governor of Niger state, Permanent Secretary Ministry Of Agriculture, the Emir Of Suleja represented, the former Minister Of Youth and Sport Development Engineer Sani Ndanusa.
During the event one of the sponsors NIIT minna provided a computer room where rural farmers were trained in batches of 10, on the basic use of social media such as Facebook and Instagram for direct communication and wider reach, amongst other trainings.
The Festival which was organized by the radio station under the auspices of the Founder/CEO Zuma Radio Mr Shuaibu Kere-Ahmed who also doubles as the festival coordinator aims at “continuing the role of the radio station of playing a vital role to connect the farmers to a wider audience and paving way to closing the technology divide”

The Zuma Agricultural Harvest Festival #ZumaAgricFest 2018 will hold on the 24th-25th November, 2018 at the Zuma FM premises, Suleja, Niger state, Nigeria. It promises to be more enriching as it is partnered by Suntrust Bank in order to help farmers access the Central Bank Of Nigeria, Anchor Borrowers Scheme among other benefits.
